If you had only 8 days to live...

Make the Girl Dance have put together two amazing videos. The video for the Parisian electronic duo's first single, "Baby Baby Baby" includes an insanely long sequence with three different women in the streets of Paris.

The second and my personal favorite is the video for, "Kill Me". The crazy frog duo makes the rounds in the states. catching some booze, coke, extacy, strippers and a little Sin City action.

"Baby baby baby", reminds me of "Slam" by Pendulum another old favorite by UK up front Drum and Bass act, Pendulum. Upstart bands best take a lesson from Make the Girl Dance: make rad videos.

Comin' straight outta Cape Town

Die Antwoord are one of the newest potential flash in the pan interweb music groups. Lyricists Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$er alongside the consistently mute DJ Hi-Tek blend rap and rave with a web of Cape Town ghetto speak.

Initially, I thought this group was serious about their white trash, trashiness, but after spending about an hour searching different links and videos, it turns out that this is another carefully orchestrated concept art group using rap-rave as their vehicle. Lyricist Ninja seems to have his proverbial shit together and has an extensive history with similar groups since the mid 90's.

Either way, it should be interesting to see what these guys do after the initial hype dies down. Hopefully Yo-Landi doesn't pull a Marina a la Bonde do Role and quit the band right at the height of things...

I'm tryin' to hustle for them tickets like traffic cops.

Have you ever avoided something just because everyone else is/was doing it? To this day I act indifferent towards new, cool things because of a huge initial buzz. If it isn't something that I didn't discover before big media that no one knows about then I don't want anything to do with it until the dust settles. This is how I felt about blogging for a looong time. I've been told multiple times that if you want to get your name out there and hone your writing chops at the same time, you need to blog. That is the purpose of this blog.
